This patented reflector system provides for the first time the possibility of homogeneous illumination of very high façades up to 50 m using energy efficient fluorescent lamps. The soft, contrast rich lighting marks out the façade and highlights surfaces and structures. The optical system, in which a parabolic primary reflector is augmented by two secondary reflectors, produces a narrow beam, asymmetrical light distribution. This provides for good anti-glare properties and at the same time the luminaire can be installed close to a building.
 
The luminaires of the hi.vertical series provide a range of new illumination options for façades,
tunnels and bridges out of doors, but also for reception and lounge areas, auditoriums and museums as well as indoor passages and hallways. The use of T16 fluorescent lamps allows for soft, contrast rich illumination of façades. Where the ambient lighting is particularly strong or the material of the façade is very dark the use of the metal halide lamp variant is to be recommended. The reflector system can be moved along its longitudinal axis so the light can be directed according to requirements even after installation.
