hi.vertical nominated for "Designpreis 2009"

As a reward for its outstanding reflector system and its path-breaking energy efficiency the hi.vertical ground recessed luminaires were nominated for the "Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 2009" by the german design council. After hi.vertical has won the popular "IF product design award 2008" and the "Lighting Design Award 2007" now it competes for the "Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 2009".

The patented reflector system og hi.vertical provides for the first time the possibility of homogeneous illumination of very high façades up to 50 m using energy efficient fluorescent lamps. The soft, contrast rich lighting marks out the façade and highlights surfaces and structures. The optical system, in which a parabolic primary reflector is augmented by two secondary reflectors, produces a narrow beam, asymmetrical light distribution. This provides for
good anti-glare properties and at the same time the luminaire can be installed close to a building
