Downlight with 3000 lm LED for even more light output

The LED Downlight DL 170 un.limited, which in autumn 2009 caused a revolution in general lighting as a result of its innovative, passive thermal management, is now being presented with even more lighting-power. Another product option allows changing the colour-temperature from warm- white to daylight-white and the application of coloured light.

The „flow-tec" ther­mal­ management for the quick and effective dissipation of heat from the LED surface, which Hoffmeister used for the first time in the lighting industry, has meanwhile stood the test in real application. Now Hoffmeister takes a further big step when introducing its downlight DL 170 un.limited for general lighting with 3.000 lm. Thanks to the passive cooling system an optimized dissipa­tion of heat from the LED semiconductor is possible even in spite of this enormous lighting-power. Only this way, it is possible to receive a maximum of power and the average life cycle of 50.000 hours.

Wheras the 2.000 lm version of DL 170 un.limited replaces the classic recessed downlight requiring 2x26W compact fluores­cent lamps and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of efficien­cy, the 3.000 lm product enhancement is a welcome alternative to 2x32W compact fluorescent lamps.

A new RGB-based option with 1.100 lm now allows leeway of changing the colour temperature in a range 2.700°K to 6.500 °K. DALI- or DMX interfaces can be used as light-regulation systems. Via DALI touchpanel dynamic lighting-scenarios can be installed. A consistent colour-mix in the LED module avoids shadows and colour-spots, which can occur in RGB technology, ans always allows a homogenous distribution of light.

The product range now includes brand new LED wallwashers for harmonious illumination of vertical areas.
